The Application of Allyl Alcohol Polyether Polyol in Textile Industries


    Allyl alcohol polyether polyol is a block/random copolymer produced by the reaction of allyl alcohol with ethylene oxide and propylene oxide. It is the main raw material for the synthesis of polyether modified polysiloxane. Allyl alcohol polyether modified polysiloxane is water-soluble and oil-soluble, and it also has the properties of wettability, emulsification, dispersibility and permeability. Allyl alcohol polyether modified polysiloxane has a wide range of applications in textile industries. It has good environmental protection and strong compatibility. It can also be used in combination with other auxiliaries and is one of the important auxiliaries in modern textile processing.


Application:


1.     Pretreatment auxiliaries

Allyl alcohol polyether modified polysiloxane can be used as wetting agent, dispersant and emulsifier in the pretreatment of textile such as refining, scouring, desizing and bleaching.

a.     Dispersant: prevent impurities from re-deposition and improve the cleanliness of fibers.

b.     Emulsifier: stabilize the emulsification of oily dirt and improve the cleaning effect.

2.     Dyeing auxiliaries

3.     Softening and finishing agent

a.     As an emulsifier for softeners, it enhances the uniform distribution of softeners and improves the softening effect of fabrics.

4.     Antistatic agent

Fibers are prone to static electricity during processing and wearing. Allyl alcohol polyether modified polysiloxane can be used as an antistatic agent to reduce static electricity accumulation on the fiber surface and improve comfort. Its antistatic effect is mainly achieved by improving the hygroscopicity and conductivity of the fabric.


5.     Coating auxiliaries

 7.     Other applications
